Breeders have noticed that crested geckos seem to prefer other fruit flavored complete diets over Pangea Watermeon Formula for feeding purposes, leading them to mix it in with these complete diets when providing their reptiles with Pangea Watermelon food.
To prepare Pangea crested gecko food, simply combine water and stir well until a consistency similar to that of ketchup is reached. Shaking is usually sufficient; however some diets such as Fig & Insect and Growth & Breeding need stirring instead.

Protein
Crested geckos in the wild consume a wide variety of live insects and ripe or even decaying fruit, which can make keeping up with this varied diet a daunting challenge for owners. Thankfully, several prepared crested gecko diets exist that make meeting your pet’s nutritional requirements simpler.

Since we first introduced it in 2013, Banana Papaya diet has quickly become one of our most beloved crested gecko foods. Perfect for New Caledonian, Gargoyle and Day Geckos as well as other species who require fruit-rich diets, this tasty mix should form part of a weekly feeding schedule alongside one or two insect feeders.
Fat
Repashy crested gecko food has slightly higher fat levels than Pangea foods but both contain the same total amount. Pangea foods also provide more iodine than Repashy options.
This diet is ideal for all fruit eating geckos, particularly gargoyle geckos (Rhacodactylus auriculatus), New Caledonian giant geckos (R. leachianus), mossy prehensile-tailed geckos (Mniarogekko chahoua), and day geckos (Phelsuma spp). Although intended as a breeder formula, it should also be fed throughout life stages.
This diet is free from seeds, nuts, seed meal and high oxalate fruits and veggies; however it does contain a small percentage of insect meal to provide extra protein.
As with other Pangea foods, this formula should be offered at approximately a 1:1 ratio – that is 1 part dry food to 2 parts liquid. Over time it may thicken slightly and require stirring periodically to remain digestible.
Calcium
Pangea gecko foods contain high concentrations of calcium, making their products ideal for egg laying female geckos. All their products feature optimal levels of calcium and vitamin D3.
Growth & Breeding Formula was specifically created to meet the specific requirements of breeding geckos, providing extra protein through black soldier fly larvae & crickets while offering both high fat content and calcium benefits.
Most crested geckos prefer banana base fruit flavors, while those who do not can enjoy Fig with Insects as an excellent alternative. Each Pangea Diet can easily be prepared by mixing dry powder mix with water and shaking or stirring until you achieve a consistency similar to ketchup.
Once a week, it is essential that you provide your gecko with a calcium power feeding in order to ensure she receives all of the essential dietary elements she requires to produce healthy eggs during breeding season. This is especially important if she’s female!
