Attracts a Wide Range of Birds
Food offered to birds can help attract many species. Birds eat seed, insects, worms, grubs, fruit, berries, nectar and nuts as food sources; providing a mix of seed feeders will attract the highest variety of backyard species.
An essential mix for cardinals, juncos, sparrows and titmice alike will include black oil sunflower seeds, millet and cracked corn in equal measures. A finch mix containing nyjer seeds attracts goldfinches, indigo buntings and other songbirds; another mix consisting of these ingredients plus woodpecker-attracted peanuts is sure to bring many species.
Avoid supermarket blends containing high proportions of milo, wheat and oats as few birds like them and they end up on the ground where they attract rodents. Furthermore, do not feed stale bread, large pieces of potato chips or salty peanuts because these foods are too rich and may cause bird bellies to expand rapidly. Offering suet or live mealworms instead will attract insect-eating birds such as nuthatches and woodpeckers.
Easy to Feed
Our premium bird food contains no fillers like oats and milo that birds don’t eat and which only provide calories without nutritional benefit. Instead, this high-quality mix includes black oil sunflower seeds, striped sunflower seeds and peanuts–all known to attract songbirds–along with safflower seeds which attract indigo buntings, cardinals, chickadees, nuthatches and tufted titmouses. Ideal for year round feeding via tube feeders — for best results we suggest serving seed upside down to help deter squirrels and grackles from eating their share.
Nuts provide woodpeckers, blue jays, chickadees and nuthatches with energy sources they need for survival. To prevent squirrels from taking advantage of your feeder and devouring its contents, try scattering or offering suet feeders filled with beef fat (known as suet). Also popular options for feeding birds include raisins for Carolina wrens and thrushes or unsalted peanut butter smeared in tree crevices for robins and orioles – always ensure all birds have access to fresh clean water at all times!
Made in the USA
The Made in the USA label conveys pride in our nation while assuring consumers of quality. Additionally, this marketing tool provides security to American workers that their jobs will remain here at home.
According to Federal Trade Commission rules, for a product to qualify as Made in the USA, “all or virtually all” parts, materials, labor and processing must originate within the U.S. Additionally, any company making an assertion of American origin must be able to back their claim up at any given moment.
Some retailers sell exclusively U.S.-made products such as brushes, flashlights, jewelry, pens, padlocks and knives; other consumer goods may contain both foreign-made components as well as American ones – for instance laptops and cell phones are often assembled in China but contain substantial American components; additionally companies must comply with California’s stringent U.S.-origin standards to make a claim that their product comes from within this nation.
