Fish Meal & Crustacean
Fish meal is an integral component of many aquafeeds, providing highly digestible proteins and essential fatty acids such as EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid), along with valuable minerals and trace elements. Producing fish meal is a complex process requiring expert knowledge in order to meet commercial and international standards for quality product delivery.
Good quality fish meals feature crude protein concentrations above 66% and an ash content below 12%. Raw material for these products may come from trash from the fishing industry, by-products from processing operations or whole fresh or frozen whole fish that has been ground, pressed and dried under carefully controlled conditions in order to reduce bacteria growth as well as heat damage to protein and oil content.
Aqua One Tropical Flakes have been carefully developed to provide all of the nutrients that tropical fish require in a delicious combination of fish meal, crustacean meal and soyabean meal with soyabean meal and alfalfa for maximum digestion and absorption rate, helping promote improved nutrient availability while simultaneously reducing waste production.
