Mango
Crested geckos are omnivorous animals in their natural environments and feed on insects, fruits, vegetables, seeds and nuts. When kept as captive pets they are fed a combination of complete CGD formulas three times weekly with live prey insects such as crickets, roaches, mealworms and superworms once every week for proper diet and wellbeing.
Bananas, peaches and kiwis make delicious treats for crested geckos but should only be offered occasionally as these high-sugar fruits could cause obesity as well as digestive issues in reptiles.
Another potential problem with these fruits is their high oxalic acid levels, which may bind with calcium and prevent its absorption by your crested gecko. Be wary when feeding any fruit with high levels of oxalic acid to your crested gecko.
Bananas
Crested geckos enjoy eating fruit as a source of additional vitamins and minerals to supplement their insect-based diet, but some fruits may not be ideal as they have high calcium and phosphorus content or acids that could damage their gut flora.
