Crickets and Grasshoppers

Common House Gecko (Hemidactylus frenatus) are insectivores in nature and feed upon crickets, grasshoppers, moths, isopods, flies, ants, cockroaches, termites, snails and other insects to obtain necessary nutrition.

Feeder insects will provide your gecko with additional proteins, vitamins, and minerals. All feeder insects should be lightly dusted with Repashy Calcium Plus LoD before feeding.

Crested, gargoyle and chahoua geckos can be particularly frugivorous and will enjoy munching down on fruit such as bananas, watermelons, melons, pears apples papaya mangoes berries apricots and oranges as treats once every week or so. Give these fruit dishes as treats!

Mealworms

Geckoes of all kinds and sizes are insectivores and require an insect-rich diet for survival. Mealworms offer an economical solution to provide your gecko with protein, vitamins, minerals and other vital nutrients – they can either be purchased at pet stores or grown within an enclosure – provided they’re small enough that he or she will consume within two to four days without becoming large enough for bite.

Wild geckos are predators of insects such as flies, mosquitoes, beetles, cockroaches and crickets. As these reptiles are ectothermic they regulate their body temperatures by basking in lighter areas during the day and foraging at night; their thermoregulation mechanism also allows them to survive a wide variety of climates through hibernation during colder temperatures.

Waxworms

Waxworms provide reptiles and amphibians with a more natural and balanced diet than most foods can offer, making them suitable for leopard geckos, bearded dragons, neon tree dragons, brown anoles and other reptiles and amphibians.

These worms can also make an excellent treat for birds and fish, as well as reptiles whose food habits appear inconsistent or who are showing signs of malnutrition, such as brittle nails or slow behavior.

House geckos may be considered an invasive species in certain countries, yet are popular pets who adapt well to captivity and live symbiotically with humans. Their diet includes unwanted insects that feed off of unwanted pest populations around homes; house geckos are found throughout rainforests, savannahs, deserts as well as dwelling on houses, fences or trees as well as under rocks and logs for protection.

Superworms

Geckos are often found near human dwellings such as apartments and houses, helping keep pest populations under control by acting as natural predators; some consider these nocturnal reptiles beneficial creatures.

House geckos are insectivores that consume many types of insects in their natural environments, including grasshoppers, flies, mosquitos, moths, isopods, crickets, ants, beetles and snails. They may also consume other invertebrates such as fruit, plant matter or spiders.

Repashy Cricket Drink with Calcium can help your gecko get all of the nutrition it needs for optimal health, since not eating enough nutrients may lead to dehydration and weight loss. Furthermore, their skin may retain shed skin that hinders their ability to catch insects.

Flies

House geckos are predominantly insectivores, feeding on crickets, mealworms, waxworms, fruit flies and various other insects. When living outdoors they will also consume isopods, moths, butterflies, roaches and other invertebrates as sustenance.

They are diurnal animals and will thermoregulate during the day by basking in brighter environments; at nighttime they become active and forage for food – as a result they usually breed year round.

Be mindful that geckos are prey animals, so provide them with an enclosure large enough and offer a variety of food items. A 20 gallon tall terrarium should provide ample room for two geckos to roam freely while maintaining proper humidity through misting or using a hygrometer – offering fruit to your gecko once every week can also help ensure its wellbeing!
