Huntsman spiders lay up to 200 eggs in their egg sac, which they place under bark, rocks, or crevices. The egg sac is protected by a female Huntsman. This spider stands guard over the egg sac for about three weeks. If provoked, the female Huntsman will rear in a defensive display. While some species will carry their egg sac on their back, such as the Delena, Huntsman females will pick it up, leaving the silk ground-sheet behind.

Insects
The largest species of hunting spiders are those that are able to kill and eat other spiders. These spiders eat a variety of insects, including small birds, frogs, amphibians, and other small animals. These spiders build webs from glands in their abdomen. They also feed on a variety of plant substances, such as acacia tree sap. Although they will not eat human flesh, they can cause harm to humans.
Small lizards
Huntsman spiders are predators of small lizards. This behavior is rare; only 48 reports from the literature and three studies document such predation. The majority of these reports were based on single observations, and none provided experimental data. In five reports (one-fifth of all reports), the spider prey was observed as it attacked the prey, and the remaining three reports detailed predation as a result of the attack.
Frogs
Scientists have discovered that the huntsman spider has a frog-eating habit. The spiders are opportunistic, capturing small amphibians in leafy retreats. In their hunts, they may use leaves as traps for frogs. However, they may also have an ulterior motive: to prey on frogs. To determine this, scientists must study the habits of the spiders.
Wood spiders
The huntsman spider is a common pest in homes. They are most common in areas where wood spiders are a problem, but they can live in other locations as well. You can prevent huntsman spiders from living in your home by sealing cracks around windows and doors, adding fly screens, and inspecting your imported fruits and vegetables. If you do see a huntsman spider in your home, you should contact a pest control company as soon as possible.
Dust
You may have seen the spider webs and wondered if they’re hunting you. The webs are irregular, with a central area. The spiders build their webs underground or on the ground, where they hide from predators and wait for prey. The male and female spiders are both brown and round. They feed on insects such as mosquitoes, flies, and wasps, and they build their webs close to the ground and behind shrubs. These spiders rarely enter human residences.
Cobwebs
It’s hard to believe that a spider like a huntsman eats cobwebs and cobweb dust, but it does. These tiny creatures are incredibly timid and can fly away from people in less than a metre. As well as eating unwanted insects, huntsman spiders also eat other spiders. If you happen to have one in your home, you can release it to a sealed container.
Bananas
If you have ever wondered what huntsman spiders eat, look no further than bananas. This species is characterized by its large, tightly coiled leaves and its long, narrow tube-like leaf sheath. These features provide an excellent environment for this spider to feed. Because of its large size, it is a particularly useful host for a variety of spider species. Because banana plants are easy to spot, you may be able to locate them in the banana patch.
