Super Worms

Super Worms make an excellent treat for leopard geckos as an occasional treat, providing high protein content and calcium benefits for growing geckos.

However, superworms should only make up a small portion of a gecko’s diet; alternative insects like crickets, wax worms, horned worms and roaches provide your gecko with vitamins and minerals not found in superworms.

If you plan to feed superworms to your leopard gecko, make sure they have been gut-loaded first by giving them an entire day’s worth of vegetables and grains like oatmeal, carrots or sweet potatoes before feeding them to them.

Wax Worms

Wax Worms make an excellent treat for Leopard Geckos! Not only are they tasty and easily accessible, they make for a fantastic addition to their diet.

If you want to buy some worms online for a good price, make sure that they arrive well-packed so your lizard can enjoy eating them!

Before purchasing gut-friendly foods, be sure to read their labels thoroughly to verify they meet this standard and may not provide as many essential vitamins and nutrients as you expect.

Your leo should only receive them as occasional treats, not as part of his everyday diet. As they can become highly addictive quickly, be careful not to overfeed them!

Butter Worms

Butterworms make an ideal snack for bearded dragons, leopard geckos and other reptiles that may have difficulty accepting traditional feeder insects. Furthermore, aquatic turtles, chameleons and monitors regularly consume butterworms as food source.

Oatmeal is an excellent source of protein and moisture. Due to their high fat content, however, oatmeal should not be consumed regularly; rather it makes an ideal occasional treat and should be consumed about once every week as a special treat.

Additionally, they’re an excellent source of calcium. So long as you feed an appropriate portion, they won’t lead to Metabolic Bone Disease or obesity-related illnesses for your pet.

Once you’ve acquired your worms, store them in their original containers in the refrigerator at 42-45 degrees Fahrenheit for optimal conditions.

Hornworms

Hornworms make an excellent treat for leopard gecko reptiles. Not only are they delicious snacks, but they are packed full of essential vitamins and nutrients!

Hornworms provide your pet with calcium-rich treats, making them the ideal treat. Furthermore, these worms serve as an essential source of water – an essential nutrient source for leopard geckos struggling with dehydration.

Hornworms contain low levels of protein and should only be given as occasional treats to your leopard gecko; they should not replace staple foods like mealworms, crickets or super worms as staple foods.

Juvenile geckos should only consume one small hornworm each week in order to prevent choking hazards, and should never consume large ones as these could prove fatal for their wellbeing.
