Since 2013, this diet has proven one of the top performing crested gecko diets for New Caledonian giant geckos (Rhacodactylus leachianus), gargoyle geckos (Rhacodactylus auriculatus), and mossy prehensile-tailed geckos (Mniarogekko chahoua). Although lacking bananas, this food does contain crickets and black soldier fly larvae for protein as well as organically grown mealworms for increased Omega fatty acid content.

Fig & Insects
Crested geckos love insects and enjoy chasing them around their habitat. Additionally, they enjoy soaking in water to aid with skin shedding; an additional piece of sphagnum peat moss placed within their hidey-hole may help absorb excess moisture.
This intense fruity complete mix features an abundance of figs to ensure its popularity with geckos, while being the only Pangea diet without banana powder – perfect for picky geckos who don’t respond well to banana-flavored food! Geckos with specific diet needs like those who require banana-free formulas can truly appreciate it!
Breeder formula, this blend contains high levels of protein from crickets and black soldier fly larvae while remaining highly palatable to all geckos. Ideal for gargoyle geckos (Rhacodactylus auriculatus), New Caledonian giant geckos and mossy prehensile-tailed geckos (Mniarogekko chahoua). Also great as an excellent growth food for juvenile crested geckos; feed them once or twice weekly until breeding adults have reached approximately 15 grams at which time live insect feedings can be reduced or eliminated completely.
Growth & Breeding
While feeder insects aren’t necessary to the survival of crested geckos, they provide enrichment, aid juvenile development and fatten up thin adults; and can even serve as breeding tools. It’s best to pre-feed these with high quality calcium/vitamin D3 powder before offering to your gecko and check her calcium sacs at least once every month to see if any are low or empty.
Pangea’s Breeding Formula was specially formulated to meet the special requirements of reproductive geckos, with very low levels of oxalates to promote optimal calcium absorption. This diet makes an ideal complement to high quality “gut load” diets or those that need higher insect counts such as New Caledonian giant geckoes (Rhacodactylus leachianus) or gargoyle geckoes (Rhacodactylus auriculatus).
This food mix for Pangea gecko species is thicker than others available on the market and should be mixed thick like ketchup for optimal consumption. Daily or alternating with live feedings should be provided as required.
Insects Complete
Pangea researched, tested and created this breeder formula specifically to meet the unique requirements of breeding geckos. The main source of fat & protein in this breeder diet comes from insects (North American farm raised crickets & black soldier fly larvae) while fruits used include Bananas and Apricots that geckos love! Higher fat levels help ensure strong egg production throughout breeding season while calcium intake nears maximum levels for optimal gecko health.
All of the ingredients used to craft this nutrient-dense food were chosen because they have very low levels of antinutrients such as oxalates and phytates; additionally, this food does not include seeds, nuts, seed meal cereal grains or high oxalate fruits.
Add some variety to your pet’s life by offering them their favorite fruit once or twice every week along with insects they love to snack on. Some watermisted sphagnum peat moss in their habitat provides another great way for them to soak up some extra moisture and have some peaceful time alone.
