Fruit Mix Gecko Treat

Pangea began manufacturing this popular crested gecko food since 2013; breeders and hobbyists around the world use this tasty, nutritious and high-fat diet to feed their geckos since 2013. Pangea’s recipe contains three complete sources of animal proteins including micellar casein microfiltration technology as well as whole eggs plus whey protein isolate. Ideal for New Caledonian geckos, gargoyle geckos, leachianus chahoua day geckos.

Fruit mixes can provide your reptile with a varied diet. However, before offering them as food sources to your pet, be sure to rinse all fruits carefully with clean water prior to offering as they will likely contain bacteria and pesticides that can harm their health.

This food features a moderate-to-low calcium:phosphorus ratio. Furthermore, it contains oxalic acid which has been associated with inhibiting calcium absorption in humans and should therefore be avoided, like in foods like rhubarb and star fruit. As this food contains reduced protein levels than its complete diet counterparts it should only be fed along with live dusted, gutloaded insects.

Growth & Breeding Complete Gecko Diet with Insects

Pangea’s industry-leading diet specifically tailored for reproduction crested geckos is specially tailored to their needs. The main source of fat & protein comes from insects (North American Farm Raise Crickets & Black Soldier Fly Larvae), boasting higher fat content than its peers as a means of supporting female egg production through egg laying. Furthermore, this food boasts extra calcium to meet all breeding gecko needs.

Pangea has conducted extensive trials with this formula and it has produced excellent feeding responses from almost all geckos. The fruit blend used here consists of delicious Bananas and Apricots that produce strong feeding responses similar to other Pangea formulas.

This diet features low oxalates for optimal calcium absorption and has an abundance of protein to ensure breeding geckos thrive from their early life on this food source. Crested, Chahoua, Gargoyle, and Chameleon geckos will all thrive with this diet right from the beginning, supplemented by live insects for variety and protein sources.

Fig & Insects

Pangea’s latest Complete Gecko Diet formula provides your Gecko with high protein, rich dietary fiber and Omega-3 fatty acid content derived from black soldier fly larvae and crickets – providing high levels of protein, fiber and Omega-3s! Plus it does not include bananas! Furthermore it does not contain high oxalic acid fruits and vegetables to keep levels of this antinutrient low by using other base fruits instead.

This fig-based diet is ideal for geckos that do not enjoy the banana taste present in other fruit mixtures and offers an assortment of fruits frugivorous reptiles enjoy snacking on. As this mix lacks banana, you should mix it with water until it resembles the consistency of ketchup or thinner.

Scientists understand that figs produce fruit through an unusual source–wasps. Once female wasps hatch in an edible fig, they will force their way into nonedible male flowers to lay eggs while collecting pollen along the way. When she dies, the edible fig digests her carcass and incorporates it into its new batch of fruit with crunchiness provided by wasp skeletons!

Watermelon Mango

Since we first offered it as one of our crested gecko foods back in 2013, watermelons have proven immensely popular among crested geckos, providing essential nourishment for waterspout geckos (Rhacodactylus auriculatus), New Caledonian giant geckos (R. leachianus), mosshopper geckos (Mniarogekko chahoua), and day geckos (Lygodactylus auriculatus).

Watermelons contain vitamin A, which converts into beta-carotene when consumed by our bodies, as well as L-citrulline, an amino acid which promotes improved blood sugar regulation and L-citrulline, an amino acid which supports increased regulation. Furthermore, they’re low-calorie options and an excellent source of potassium!

Produce is an excellent source of calcium, phosphorous and magnesium as well as being packed full of vitamin C which helps combat inflammation.

Mango and watermelons both boast plenty of dietary fiber to aid digestion, plus provide antioxidants and vitamins A and C as well as potassium and calcium. Watermelon boasts especially high amounts of lycopene which has anti-inflammatory properties; both fruits also contain small amounts of omega-6 fatty acids.
