Pangea offers an exclusive range of diets for crested geckos and other New Caledonian gecko species. These meals have been specifically designed to deliver optimal nutritional value to frugivorous gecko species at all life stages while still encouraging an enthusiastic feeding response.
These diets are all meal replacement powders, meaning they do not contain live insects. This can be a huge advantage if you want to minimize waste associated with providing live insects while still offering your geckos an exciting variety of food.

Ingredients
Pangea gecko food is designed with ingredients that are easily digestible by frugivorous geckos, such as fruit, protein from whey isolate and egg whites, bee pollen, spirulina, probiotics – and more!
This diet has been developed and tested on one of the world’s largest collections of New Caledonian geckos, a species highly frugivorous.
The diet contains ideal levels of calcium for strong bones and healthy egg laying. It was designed as part of a rotation plan that includes insects once or twice per week. Furthermore, this food was specifically designed with very low levels of oxalates and other anti-nutrients that can lead to calcium related issues like poor egg quality, slow growth and weak bones; additionally it was low in phytate which interferes with protein digestion.
Flavors
Pangea gecko food comes in an array of flavors. In addition to the classic banana flavor, you can find other fruit-based formulas like fig, papaya and watermelon.
For crested geckos, we suggest our Complete Gecko Diet which contains a delicious combination of fruits that your frugivorous gecko won’t resist! Furthermore, this diet has been designed with very low levels of Anti-Nutrients like Oxalates and Phytates.
Fruit eating geckos such as gargoyle geckos, New Caledonian giant geckos (Rhacodactylus leachianus), mossy prehensile-tailed geckos, day geckos and other species should find this food source beneficial.
For this diet, follow the same directions as other Pangea gecko foods: mix one part powder to two parts water by volume and adjust until your desired consistency is achieved.
Preparation
Geckos require a variety of vitamins, minerals and trace elements to stay healthy and thrive in captivity. Pangea gecko food is specially formulated with top quality ingredients that have been rigorously tested, precise and palatable – providing your geckos with all the nutrition they need to stay contented and healthy.
Mixing these diets is a breeze with the convenience of a blender. Simply add water and your food mix, shake until all clumps have disappeared!
Some formulas require more water than others. For instance, Growth & Breeding Formula and Pangea Gecko Diet With Insects become thicker over time; mixing closer to a 1:2 ratio works best for these two varieties of diet.
Pangea formulas like Fig & Insects and Growth & Breeding Formula may mix up thinner than other diets, making them more likely to leave lick marks. To find what your geckos prefer, start with small amounts and increase as needed until you find what they enjoy!
Storage
Pangea gecko diets have a long shelf life and can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5-7 days. You can also store them in plastic squeeze bottles like those used for ketchup or mustard.
These containers are budget friendly and easily found at most grocery stores or online. Not only are they super convenient, but they make feeding your geckos fresh food a breeze!
Crested geckos thrive on soft fruit that contains high calcium and low phosphorus levels, such as bananas, peaches, apricots, watermelons and cherries.
Mealworms can be offered as a treat, but only in small amounts and once or twice per month due to their hard exoskeletons. You may prefer giving worms that are less likely to cause impaction such as waxworms instead.
Pangaea gecko diets can be mixed with water at a ratio of about 1 part dry mix to 2.5 parts water. Note that some formulas become thicker over time, so you may need to adjust the ratio again in order to reach the desired consistency.
