Goldfish require a moist diet in order to prevent swim bladder issues. Gel food provides this nourishment in an easily digestible format for goldfish.
This omnivore formula combines black soldier fly larva meal, spirulina algae and whole squid meal to provide an economical blend of fish, plant and mollusk proteins that more accurately reflect wild-type diets. Furthermore, low starch levels make this food even more suitable to wild diets.

Ingredients
Repashy has formulated this omnivore formula with goldfish specifically in mind. Packed full of proteins from algae, fish meal and green plants while providing ample vitamins to promote healthy growth and vibrant colors, Repashy offers this food at Repashy Stores throughout California and Texas.
This food provides fish with the unique prebiotic Mazuri’s PrimaLac, providing support for their gastrointestinal and skin health. Furthermore, this omnivore diet meets National Research Council-recommended levels of vitamins and minerals.
Gel food differs from its dry counterparts in that its ingredients remain bound together by moisture. This enables easier absorption than dry foods that disintegrate quickly in water.
Mix powder (1 part powder to 2-3 parts boiling water) in a shallow container until it dissolves, and pour into molds to cool at room temperature before cutting into pieces and refrigerating or freezing for up to six months (for refrigerator storage or frozen storage respectively). For an even quicker jerky style treat, slice into 1 cm thick slices before drying thoroughly in oven or dehydrator at 150oF/65oC for 8-12 hours after preparation of gel as above.
Storage
Fancy goldfish require moist food in order to thrive and look their best. Dry foods, such as flakes and wafers, do not provide them with enough moisture for digestion. Gel foods offer a better solution as their gelatin-binding enables soft and moist consumption.
Water-soluble vitamins and minerals are secured in the gel matrix for efficient fish medication. Furthermore, this method is far safer and simpler than medicating the water directly which may lead to further complications.
This formula was specifically created to facilitate excellent digestion and nutrition in goldfish & koi fish. With easy preparation and its selection of quality ingredients, it provides optimal conditions for their health and longevity.
Preparation
Fancy goldfish have delicate stomachs, making them susceptible to diet-induced swim bladder issues that manifest themselves as waste that floats on the water’s surface or fish that swim like corks in an effort to relieve their bladder pressure. This food provides soft, moist food that’s rich in plant matter and proteins – helping avoid potential issues altogether.
It does not contain terrestrial meat proteins, wheat, barley or corn starches – common fillers found in commercial fish foods that can harm both their health and the environment. Furthermore, this food is free of costly binder/gelatin mixtures – another unnecessary element not necessary in producing quality feed for aquarium fish.
To create this tasty treat, simply mix powder with boiling water (following the instructions on the package). Once chilled, the gel will thicken into Jell-O like consistency and can be cut into cubes before being stored either in the refrigerator or frozen for later use – simply thaw and feed as needed!
