Ideal for breeders of all life stages. Crested geckos still grow well when fed once or twice weekly crickets, while gargoyle geckos and mossy prehensile-tailed geckos (Mniarogekko chahoua) thrive from day one on this formula.

Contents

Watermelon

Formerly known as Watermelon Mango, this diet offers sweet fruity scents for crested geckos to enjoy over time. Containing proteins from whey, casein and egg sources as well as banana protein which most geckos love!

Watermelons contain about 90% water, making them an excellent way to promote healthy hydration and source of electrolytes. They also contain choline which converts into the amino acid arginine that increases blood flow while simultaneously decreasing blood pressure.

This smoothie or thick milkshake-like food is designed for all species of crested geckos, including leachianus, gargoyle and chahoua geckos as well as day geckos. You can feed this food alone or mix it with one of Pangea’s complete gecko diets Fig & Insects for optimal results.

Apricot

Apricots are an excellent source of antioxidants to protect the liver against oxidative stress. Plus, their potassium content can help relieve bloat while managing blood pressure – two medium-sized apricots contain up to 4% of their daily recommended value!

Dried apricots contain high levels of the amino acids threonine, isoleucine, leucine and valine, making them an excellent source of calcium, magnesium, iron, phosphorus zinc selenium as well as low levels of the antinutrient phytate which could interfere with gecko digestion of Protein.

Pangea’s newest formula, their Growth & Breeding Formula, is specifically tailored to meet the nutritional requirements of breeding adults who lay eggs – specifically females who require additional fat and calcium intake than other diets while still permitting one or two insect feedings each week for mental enrichment purposes.

Papaya

Papaya (Carica papaya), commonly referred to as Pawpaw or Papaw, is an edible tropical plant cultivated for its edible fruit. This flowering species features an 8 metre (26 foot) tall palmlike trunk.

Crested geckos, mossy prehensile-tailed geckos (Mniarogekko chahoua) and New Caledonian giant geckos (Rhacodactylus leachianus) all benefit from feeding on this food due to its low levels of oxalates – making it perfect for reptiles with sensitive digestive systems.

Crested geckoes need an attractive diet during breeding season to stay active and stimulated, such as this treat which contains fruits and vegetables that attract them. Offering these alongside live dusted insects should help them remain stimulated. The food contains fruits and vegetables which crested geckos will find irresistibly delicious!

Fig & Insects

Swarthmore professor Gary Purrington was shocked to discover a wasp, Blastophaga psenes, pollinating figs. Farmers do their best to reduce the number of wasps entering figs so as to reduce splitting of fruit; but oftentimes remnants remain.

Purrington was intrigued to find out whether any insects could be detected in dried figs sold commercially.

Geckos of all species can benefit from feedings with this banana-less formula designed for breeding & growth, offering more protein and fat than previous Pangea formulas with its strong fig scent tempting even picky geckos to eat it! Ideal results are obtained when mixed thick like ketchup using 2.5 parts water to 1 part powder powder.

Fruit Mix

Since 2013, this mix has become an extremely popular crested gecko diet, satisfying the needs of New Caledonian crested geckos such as Gargoyles, leachianus chahouas and day geckos and is guaranteed to bring an enthusiastic feeding response.

Pangea Complete Diets are carefully formulated and manufactured in Zeeland, Michigan using premium all-natural ingredients.
