Leopard geckos require calcium supplements with vitamin D3 such as ReptiVite or Repashy Calcium Plus to aid their calcium absorption. These supplements will allow your leopard gecko to access all its necessary calcium.

Diet

Leopard geckos should be given a variety of insects such as crickets and mealworms to provide all the vitamins and minerals they require. By offering such variety, their diet will remain balanced.

Prior to feeding insects to your gecko, it’s advisable to dust them with Zoo Med Reptile Calcium Plus in order to ensure that they receive enough calcium in order to avoid Metabolic Bone Disease.

Gel water crystals provide essential hydration and help regulate body temperature, providing essential hydration to leopard geckos.

As gecko food can vary significantly in flavor, you should offer your gecko several varieties to satisfy its palate.

Grub Pie should only be fed occasionally; not as their primary source of protein. Because its levels are significantly lower than other gecko diets, use sparingly when feeding it to geckos.

Habitat

Leopard geckos, commonly referred to by their fans as “leos,” are an ideal family pet and should not bite. Furthermore, their larger size allows older children to handle one easily (though younger geckos may become unruly or snappy).

These lizards thrive in dry environments, so their enclosure should contain low-growing plants like sedums, cacti, or succulents to recreate the environment in which they were originally found. Plants also provide hiding spaces and fresh water sources while offering UVB light benefits for optimal conditions.

Geckos should ideally reside in an enclosure measuring at least 36″ by 18″ by 16″, though larger would provide room for multiple habitat features, including hiding places, rocks or branches for climbing and secure top surfaces for glass surfaces.

Leopard geckos can consume an assortment of foods, from live insects such as mealworms and waxworms, to supplements. When purchasing these from reliable sources, be mindful that they might contain pesticides or parasites which could endanger their health.

Training

A repashy leopard gecko can make an excellent pet, provided you understand how to train it properly. They are known to be gentle creatures that often make great first pets; just remember what food should be included in their diet for optimal care!

Repashy Grub Pie for Reptiles can provide your gecko with variety and nutrition, whether mixed into existing food or added as gravy to dry kibble.

Repashy Calcium Plus or ReptiVite are recommended as essential calcium and multivitamin supplements that will ensure that your gecko has all of the vitamins it needs for good health and strength.

As part of your training sessions with your gecko, make sure to weigh it frequently and collect its poop sample. If it begins losing weight suddenly, this could be a telltale sign that it’s not eating enough food.

Care

Care of a repashy leopard gecko is relatively straightforward. They are relatively hardy species of reptile and an ideal choice for new keepers.

Terrarian, nocturnal and crepuscular species reside underground or within rocks for most of their daytime. At nighttime they find heat sources within themselves to create belly heat for themselves without needing UV illumination like some diurnal species do.

Heating is vital as they require body heat for proper digestion of their food, so an under tank heater (UTH) should cover roughly one third of their enclosure space.

As insectivores, it is vitally important that they receive a varied diet. Crickets, meal worms and feeder roaches should form the bulk of their meals while Superworms and Wax Worms should only be provided as occasional treats.

Before feeding insects, dust them in nutrient powder. Modern supplements have an ideal fine structure that adheres to insects perfectly; dust your insects every two or three feedings for maximum performance.
