Fancy Guppy

Fancy guppies are a breed of colourful guppy fish specifically bred for pet/breeder and show ownership, and can make excellent additions to any small community aquarium. Their longer tails make breeding easy, and these colorful beauties make great additions.

Fancy guppy fish come in many colours and patterns, particularly among males. Common color combinations for male guppy fish include white, red, yellow, blue, purple and black hues with various fin shapes like rounder ones (rounded), V-shaped ones (V shaped) or even an elongated one (elongated).

Hikari Fancy Guppy is an advanced daily food for Livebearers and Guppy fish that contains natural sources of Astaxanthin that promote vivid coloring as well as seaweed, an excellent natural source of iodine. Additionally, this formula contains high levels of Linolenic acid for growth promotion, good health promotion and active breeding; plus Chitosan and Stabilized Vitamin C to provide high resistance against disease while the pellet itself is small and encapsulated to prevent any leaching losses through leaching.

Livebearers

Guppies are one of the most commonly kept livebearers and an entry level fish for advanced breeders looking to try their hand at livebearing. Available in an abundance of colors and finnage variations, guppies make an easy fish to maintain. While Fancy Guppies tend to be quite territorial towards other fish such as Neon Tetras which may nibble at their extravagant finnage if disturbed too often, fancy finned Guppies may also display territorial behavior and show aggression toward any potential threats that might threaten its existence!

Livebearers are easy to identify as males have a gonopodium anal fin which features spikes; females have regular-shaped anal fins. Males can fend off potential aggression from other males over territory disputes by constantly grooming the other livebearer females for territory; so groups of two or more is recommended in order to limit such harassment behavior.

Mollies

Mollies are schooling fish that thrive when kept with other mollies in an aquarium with a sandy substrate that helps disperse waste products and provides shelter. You can add live plants like Anubias and Java fern, rocks and driftwood for additional decor; as these omnivorous creatures will consume both animal and plant material!

Mollies come in various colors, such as standard black, gold and dalmatian (white with specks of black), with long bodies with pointed heads and either large dorsal fins or no dorsal fins depending on the variety. Mollies tolerate various water conditions from soft rainwater to hard calcium salt; their tolerance to ammonia and nitrite levels is superior to many freshwater fish varieties and make great companion fish to help shyer tankmates venture out from hiding places.

Swordtails

Swordtails make an entertaining addition to any aquarium and are especially suitable for beginner aquarists. As prolific breeders, swordtails produce offspring at an astounding rate; making them the perfect candidate for creating fish biotope projects. In their natural habitat, Xiphophorus hellerii favour fast flowing streams and rivers but can also be found in pools, canals and warm springs; keeping these species requires densely planted tanks with plenty of hiding spaces if kept.

Swordtails are omnivorous fish who benefit from eating a varied diet. Their diet should include standard community micropelleted food as well as daphnia, black worms and fruit flies – plus frozen treats and freeze-dried treats like frozen pizza crusts! Establishing a consistent feeding schedule will keep their health optimally.

Platies

Platies’ distinctive coloring makes them an attractive option in both community and single-species tanks, providing easy care and enjoyment for their owners alike. Males typically display cooperative behavior; however, larger males may become territorial against females if numbers become out of balance.

Platies are an ideal fish to start with as their care requirements are relatively straightforward. Platies thrive best in tanks filled with clean, filtered water at room temperature.

New varieties of platy fish are continually being created, including Mickey Mouse, sunset, red wagtail and blue bumblebee varieties. It is important to know how to distinguish male from female platies as their development differs; males typically exhibit more vibrant coloration with modified anal fins while females usually feature more subdued fins with fan-shaped appearances.
