Pangea Fig & Insects – Pangea Gecko Food For Cresties

pangea gecko food with insects

Pangea offers several banana base fruit flavors for their geckos; however, many breeders have reported that their cresties do not enjoy eating these foods, so this Fig & Insects formula was created. This diet provides an optimal mix of vitamins and minerals found naturally in New Caledonian geckos such as calcium, Vitamin D3, beta carotene, kelp and bee pollen.

Fruit Mix Gecko Treat

Pangea’s award-winning complete gecko diets begin with PFM as its foundation. Formulated to contain low levels of oxalates and antinutrients while meeting optimal calcium requirements for strong bones and egg laying as well as other vitamins, minerals, and trace nutrients for reptiles, PFM serves as the fruit portion or can entice picky eaters into eating the complete diets more regularly – including at least once or twice weekly insect feedings! Available in 2oz, 8oz and 10lb bulk packages which can be mixed with water to desired consistency before offering daily; once mixed it will last up to 7 days if refrigerated!

Growth & Breeding Formula

This food was specifically developed to meet the unique requirements of reproductive crested geckos. It features the highest protein and fat contents of any Pangea diet, most coming from insect sources (crickets and black soldier fly larvae) while still remaining palatable to geckos of all ages. Furthermore, bananas and apricots were added for enhanced feeding response similar to other Pangea fruit mixes.

Before offering food to geckos, it’s essential that it be mixed thoroughly as this allows natural flavors and aromas to intensify when water is added to it. This mix can be served dry or wet – adult geckos should receive this food at least three times every week, and juveniles daily.

This formula tends to stick more firmly to geckos’ tails and toes than other Pangea formulas, making rinsing after every feeding necessary. Furthermore, more mold growth than with its lower-fat counterpart is often observed – something completely normal that shouldn’t cause concern.

Pangea Complete Gecko Food

Since 2013, Pangea Watermeon Complete Gecko Diet has quickly become one of the most sought-after crested gecko food formulas. Guaranteeing an enthusiastic feeding response among gargoyle, New Caledonian Giant, leachianus, mossy prehensile-tailed and day geckos alike, this tasty diet can produce guaranteed feeding success!

This low-oxalate, high-fiber mix is free of seeds, nuts, seed meal and cereal grains and contains very low levels of antinutrients like phytates and oxalates. Crafted using all-natural USA dried fruits and vegetables plus whey protein isolate, egg white, bee pollen, spirulina algae meal probiotics for optimal performance.

Directions: Combine 1 part powder to 2 parts water by volume until you achieve your desired consistency (i.e. between ketchup and sriracha in terms of thickness). Use as an insect food base, or combine with additional feeders as necessary, offering daily. Remove uneaten food at each feeding, or sooner if it has dried out, started mold growth, or become dirty or rancid.

Pangea Insects Complete Gecko Diet

Pangea Fig & Insects Complete Gecko Diet is a high-quality, fortified crested gecko food manufactured in the USA that is both delicious and nutritionally complete. Formulated to contain low levels of oxalates and antinutrients so your gecko can absorb all necessary calcium for strong bones and effective egg production, as well as providing all essential amino acids necessary for its overall wellbeing.

Your frugivore will appreciate this delicious food that contains only fruits. No seeds, nuts, seed meal or cereal grains with high oxalate content should be present; therefore it makes an excellent food to use when breeding and growth are required and should be mixed daily with insect prey for best results.

Like its other Pangea formulations, this powder food should be mixed with water and adjusted according to your gecko’s preferred consistency. Since it doesn’t include banana, however, geckos seem particularly fond of this variety as well.
