Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles love nothing more than indulging in some pizza. Antonio’s Pizza-Rama boxes can often be seen sitting idly around their secret lair.
Leonardo, Donatello and Michelangelo each had their own favorite toppings when it comes to pizza making. Here are some of their most opulent and delectable pizza creations.

Splinter, his mutant rat companion and their pizza-loving mutant pals may have had an uneven movie history, but this irresistibly crowd-pleasing reboot offers an innovative take on an established property. Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s screenplay moves away from Eastman & Laird comic book grit for a more juvenile tone that benefits from standout performances from its young cast – including The Bear Emmy nominee Ayo Edebiri as April O’Neil who wants to become journalist – in its favor.
Donatello (Micah Abbey), Michelangelo (Shamon Brown Jr), Raphael (Nicolas Cantu), and Leonardo (Brady Noon) long to capture the hearts of New York City’s unappreciative humans, but overprotective quasi-dad Splinter is concerned they’ll get caught between criminals and law enforcement – his overprotectiveness may become problematic when April aids them as crime-fighters alongside an unlikely ally, Superfly (Ice Cube), while facing off against Superfly is tested when faced with an X-Men-like debate as they test each other –
Ice Cream
The four muscled turtles of New York City love pizza and ice cream! In 1987 cartoons and comics, we saw these brothers enjoying various toppings on their slices including clams, pepperoni, jelly beans and peanut butter – even one shaped like their enemy: Sludge!
Pizza plays an integral role in every TMNT storyline. In “Parasitica,” Michelangelo offered to help Leo overcome his mind control using a pizza made of pepperoni, jalapenos and jelly beans as a cure.
Hostess created Ninja Turtle pudding pies featuring characters from their film series on their wrappers, while there was also a special sweetened Rice Chex cereal featuring one marshmallow per Turtle from Hostess.
Snacks
The Turtles enjoy pizza but also indulge in snacks like ice cream, jelly beans, peanut butter and pizza shakes and soups. In their 1987 cartoons and comics appearances they also try out unusual toppings such as clams and sauerkraut!
TMNT featured multiple food tie-ins, such as Shredder cereal which consisted of Sweetened Rice Chex with various marshmallows shaped as nets. There was also an assortment of branded pasta from Chef Boyardee as well as Hostess cookies that featured both Shredder and his enemies.
Gnatrat purchases a pizza restaurant and draws the Turtles in with an all you can eat promotion, prompting Splinter to attempt to curb their consumption; but his advice proves ineffective as they devour more and more pizza! Eventually Splinter attempts to have them temper their consumption but to no avail; instead they simply binge and devour everything on offer!

Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird weren’t sure what legacy their four juvenile anthropomorphic box turtles would leave when the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles first premiered as cartoons in 1987, but quickly found them popular due to a stylized design, easily identifiable cast of characters, trademark catchphrase (“Cowabunga!”), and generally lighter, comedic tone.
At first, when they first arrived on land, the turtles subsisted primarily on algae and worms before discovering pizza – their favorite meal and Shredder’s weakness! In addition, they enjoy pizza noodle soup, pizza ice cream, and hybrid dishes such as the P-shake for lunch!
Pizza Hut recently paid tribute to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Heroes in a Half Shell by offering limited-time underground delivery in New York City as part of its promotion for this movie. Pizza Hut has had a longstanding relationship with this franchise, such as past promotions for both its animated series and Megan Fox as April O’Neil in live-action film adaptations.
