Extruded shrimp feed processing method
Shrimp feed manufacturers have used extrusion processes to produce the products since the 1970s. Extruded feeds tend to expand and increase in weight due to starch. Because of this, manufacturers limit starch inclusion levels to maintain feed density and reduce flotation. Extrusion processing has also been enhanced by improved screw design, die configuration, and vacuum venting.
